Spam Policy AO Gas: Ao Gas (Pty) Ltd (“AoGas”, “we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to conducting its electronic communications in a transparent, lawful and respectful manner. This Spam Policy explains the types of unsolicited communications we prohibit, how we obtain and use your consent, and your rights to opt out.

This Policy applies to all electronic messages sent by AoGas, including but not limited to:

  • Marketing and promotional emails, SMS/MMS texts, WhatsApp messages
  • Newsletters, product announcements, event invitations
  • Any other form of electronic messaging that directs recipients to content or services on or off our website

Definitions Spam Policy AO Gas

  • Spam: Unsolicited commercial electronic communications sent in bulk, without the recipient’s prior consent, often containing promotional or marketing content.
  • Consent: A clear, affirmative action by you (e.g. checking an opt-in box) agreeing to receive specified electronic messages from AoGas.
  • Opt-out: A mechanism by which you withdraw your consent and instruct us to stop sending you further messages.

Our Commitments

  • No Unsolicited Bulk Messaging
  • We will not send you marketing or promotional messages unless you have expressly opted in.
  • We do not purchase or rent third-party lists for unsolicited mailings.
  • Clear Identification
  • Every message we send will clearly identify AoGas as the sender.
  • Subject lines and message headers will accurately reflect the content and purpose of the communication.

Easy Opt-Out

Every electronic communication will contain a simple, one-click unsubscribe link or clear instructions for opting out (e.g. “Reply STOP to unsubscribe”). Opt-out requests will be honored promptly—within 7 calendar days.

Limited Use of Your Data

We use your contact information solely to send messages you have consented to receive. We will not share or sell your email address or phone number to any third party for their own marketing purposes.

How We Obtain Consent

Website Sign-ups: When you subscribe to our newsletter, download resources, or register for events via https://aogas.co.za, you’ll be asked to confirm your email address and agree to receive communications. Transaction Opt-In: During account creation or order checkout, you will have the option to opt in to receive marketing messages. Explicit Requests: You may request to receive specific communications (e.g. product updates) and will be added only after you affirmatively confirm.

Opt-Out & Contacting Us

If you ever wish to stop receiving our electronic communications:

  • Click the Unsubscribe link at the bottom of any email.
  • Reply with STOP to any SMS/MMS or WhatsApp message.
  • Email us at info@aogas.co.za with “Unsubscribe” in the subject line.

Once you’ve opted out, we will remove you from the relevant list and cease sending that category of messages within 7 days.

Enforcement & Violations

Any AoGas employee or contractor who sends unsolicited bulk messages in violation of this Policy will face disciplinary action, up to and including termination. If you believe you have received unsolicited communications from us despite opting out, please notify our Compliance Officer immediately at info@aogas.co.za.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time to reflect changes in legislation or our practices. We will post any revised version on https://aogas.co.za/spam-policy with an updated “Effective date.” Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
